This month, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our longest-standing team members — Ashlea Towery, our Director of Events in Wichita Falls!
For twelve years, Ashlea has been the calm in the chaos, turning dream days into stress-free celebrations. She started out as our Office Manager back when we were Weddings By Blake and now oversees events like a total pro.
She’s got the kind of precision and heart that make Occasions & Co. what it is — and we couldn’t be luckier to have her. 💛
From Criminology to “I Do’s”: Ashlea Towery, Wichita Falls Wedding Planner
Fun fact: Ashlea actually went to school for Criminology (and crushed it with a 3.84 GPA 👏). But somewhere along the way, she swapped solving mysteries for solving wedding-day problems — and we’re so glad she did.
When asked what she loves most about her job, her answer was simple:
“Helping someone make their special day happen just makes my heart happy.”
Her planning style in three words? Precise. Attentive. Detailed.
Her secret event-day superpower?
“Wherever you need me and whatever you need me to do, I’m there.” (And anyone who’s seen her in action knows it’s 100% true.)
A Word From Blake
“I still remember the day I interviewed Ashlea for the Office Manager position. At that time we had just moved into our first office in Wichita Falls. Ashlea was brand new to the job — and there we were, down on the floor together painting baseboards and laying carpet. So much love went into that first space, and I couldn’t have done it without her."

Ashlea’s favorite part of any wedding is right after the vows — when the couple finally relaxes and just has fun together.

With over a decade of weddings under her belt, Ashlea’s seen it all — and her top advice is gold:
“Slow and steady. Don’t try to plan everything all at once. And don’t stress over small things — that’s what we’re here for.”
She says the one thing couples often forget is togetherness:
“Make sure you carve out time for yourselves. Trust me, they’ll understand.”
