We’re thrilled to introduce the heart and hustle behind many of our seamless events—Frida Nash, our incredible Senior Event Coordinator. From her very first wedding to now leading events with grace and precision, Frida has been a bright light on the Occasions & Co. team. We sat down with her to talk all things weddings, teamwork, and a few fun facts you may not know!

How did you get started with Occasions & Co.?

It all started with curiosity! I had always wondered how weddings come together behind the scenes. Blake invited me to help with a wedding, and that one experience was all it took. I was completely hooked. I saw how much heart, detail, and magic goes into wedding planning, and I instantly knew it was something I wanted to be part of.

What do you love most about wedding planning?

I truly love the collaborative process—getting to know each couple, understanding their vision, and working together to make it all happen. There’s an adrenaline rush in pulling all the pieces together, and I genuinely enjoy it all—from setting up the venue to packing it up at the end of the night. Helping couples bring their dream day to life, while keeping it fun and stress-free, is so fulfilling.

What would you say are your biggest strengths in this role?

I’m definitely a natural problem-solver and multitasker. I think fast on my feet, and I care deeply about the experience our clients have. I give 110% to everything I do. Whether it's solving a last-minute hiccup or making sure every detail is picture-perfect, I’m all in.

Outside of weddings, what else are you passionate about?

I work at an elementary school, and I absolutely love teaching. Helping people—whether it’s a child learning something new or a couple navigating wedding decisions—is something that gives me a lot of purpose. I also love Ballet Folklórico, traveling, shopping, game nights with friends, and spending time with family.

What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?

I collect Funko Pops! They’re a quirky little joy in my life, and I love how unique and fun each one is. It’s my playful side showing.

Do you have a favorite Occasions & Co. moment?

Absolutely! After my very first wedding, seeing the couple so genuinely happy and in love was unforgettable. Even though it was my first time coordinating, that moment confirmed I was exactly where I was meant to be. It was the kind of joy that made me excited to keep doing this work—and it’s a feeling I still carry with me at every event.

What are you most excited about this year?

I'm excited to continue helping more couples create beautiful, stress-free celebrations. I’m always looking to learn new decorating strategies and grow as a coordinator. There’s always something new to try in this field, and that keeps me inspired.
